Chain.com.au is run by Abacon Products Pty Ltd, a proudly Australian, Melbourne based and family run business established in 1971 that now spans three generations.

For over 50 years we have been providing quality products throughout Australia, New Zealand and to many countries around the world. We sell to large distributors, re-sellers, small businesses, government departments and the general public. 

From humble beginnings in a small factory in Fitzroy, Melbourne we now operate out of 2 large side by side factories in Keilor East, Melbourne. 

Whilst most of our competitors have sadly moved to 100% imports many decades ago we still manufacture approximately 1 million metres of chain per year right here in our factory in Melbourne! That's right, you read that correctly; we still manufacture chain and wire products in Australia!
